Passengers can select and reserve their preferred seat and print their boarding pass prior to arriving at the airport. Online check-in is not available for all airports so passengers should check this on the Jet Airways website.
For international flights, online check-in is available 48 hours to two hours before departure for First Class and Premiere passengers and Economy Class JetPrivilege Platinum/Gold members; for other Economy passengers it is available 12 hours or ten hours to two hours before departure (depending on route), unless an additional fee is paid for online check-in available from 48 hours before departure. Jet Airways baggage allowance depends upon a number of factors, including whether the passenger is an adult, child or infant, the travel class, country where ticket was purchased, place of departure and more. Passengers should check their ticket to confirm their free checked baggage allowance, which may be based either on weight or piece concept. Typical allowances for South East Asia and South Asian Continent are 40 kg for First Class passengers, 30 kg for Premiere passengers and 20 kg for Economy passengers, with 10 kg for infants. Typical allowances for Europe are 69 kg for First and Premiere passengers, 28 for Economy and 10 kg for infants and for the Middle East 30 kg for Premiere passengers, 20 kg for Economy and 10 kg for infants. Individual bags should be no more than 158 cm in total dimensions and 32 kg in weight. Passengers travelling from India on migrant visas are permitted a maximum 40 kg on international flights and connecting Jet Airways flights within India.
Items of sports equipment are exempt from oversize charges though standard excess baggage charges will apply if the equipment takes the passenger over their free baggage allowance. Musical instruments may be carried in the seat next to passengers if an extra seat is blocked next to the passenger – instruments should weight no more than 75 kg and be able to be secured using a seatbelt.
