About Biman Bangladesh Airline

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is Bangladesh's national flag carrier airline and has its headquarters plus main hub located in the country's capital city of Dhaka, at the Shahjalal International Airport. It also has smaller centres of operation at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet and at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong. Biman Bangladesh Airlines was founded in 1972 and owned by the Bangladeshi government up until 2007, at which point it became Bangladesh's biggest public limited company. 14 Bombardier, Boeing and Airbus planes make up the airline's fleet, with the Boeing 737 and 777 being its most predominant means of transport.

The maximum size for checked baggage is a combined width, height and length of 158 cm. Infants have an entitlement of 1 piece weighing up to 10 kg and no larger than a combined width, height and length of 115 cm, as well as a stroller or car seat. There will be excess baggage fee to pay if a passenger's luggage is not kept within their allowance. The airline will refuse to carry any item of baggage that weighs more than 32 kg.
