The flights are at an affordable price however if you want to sit together with the person you’re traveling you each have to pay extra for the seats. And if you want to carry hand luggage that’s £12 extra each way. Before all this stuff used to be free. Plus in the plane there’s absolutely no leg room and during the night flight they didn’t even turn off the lights for the passangers to be able to sleep.

If I never have to fly with Ryanair again or use Stansted airport it will be too soon. My partner and I arrived in the pre-booked long stay car park 1 hour and 25 minutes prior to our 15:10 take-off time for a 4-night break in Lisbon. With no stops for food drink duty-free or toilet facilities we arrived at our departure gate 20 minutes before take-off - 10 minutes after the gate closed. The plane was sat there steps still in place. The Dispatcher presumably employed by the airport not Ryanair asked the officious arrogant young Ryanair employee manning the gate to let us board not least because we had a 15kgs suitcase in the hold. But no "The gates closed. You're late. You'll have to go back and book another flight!" said in such a sneering tone. We were weight-listed for their following flight having each paid £100 re-booking fee. I'd also paid for extra leg room on our original flight being 6ft 2" tall. We missed our pre-paid private transfer which cost another £50. It took 40 minutes for our suitcase to be removed from the hold and re-appear in the Baggage Claim zone surely it would have been quicker to have allowed us to take the three minute walk from the gate to the aircraft than refuse us our seats? But then Ryanair would not have squeezed another £200 out of us would they! Ryanair - the low value airline. Avoid.
