The Spanish airline Volotea has its headquarters in Barcelona and was founded by the former creators of Vueling in 2011. It then began operations one year after its establishment in 2012. The budget airline has bases at numerous airports in Europe including Venice Marco Polo Airport, Verona Villafranca Airport and Nantes Atlantique Airport. It has a fleet of over 20 aircraft that fly to more than 50 destinations, all of which are located in Europe, apart from one flight that travels to Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Many Volotea flights service Spanish destinations such as the cities of Bilbao, Malaga, Seville, Zaragoza and Ibiza as well the Greek cities of Athens, Kos, Rhodes and Samos. French destinations the airline travels to include Bordeaux, Montpellier, Nice, Toulouse and Brest, while the Italian cities of Bari, Naples, Turin, Venice and Verona are also popular with travellers, along with Munich Airport in Germany, Prague's Ruzyn? Airport in the Czech Republic and Malta International Airport.
