We’ve conducted a survey to learn more about the European reading habits over the summer holidays. This year, more than 3,000 people from United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and France answered our survey and the results are very interesting!
We’re currently living an “all-digital” era but our survey reveals that 75% of European readers prefer to read printed books rather than the digital version (on smartphones, tablets, desktop computers or e-book readers). Furthermore, the study also proves that 50% of the European readers spend between £7-21 (10-30€) of their holiday budget on books and 20% buy them at their local bookshops.
Another interesting fact is that, based on our study, the British people are the biggest bookworms in Europe! 20% of them read between 3-4 books over the summer and 12% of them read more than 4 books.
