In honor of the International Women’s day (March 8), we decided to share with you the work of Mihaela Noroc, a young photographer of Bucharest. Her passion? To travel the world and begin a photo project called “The Atlas of Beauty“. It’s a collection of portraits of women she’s met in her trips and the perfect way to show everyone that “beauty is everywhere” despite all the cultural, ethnic and racial differences.
So far, she’s visited more than 45 countries and her goal is to continue to do this for many years!
Since pictures speak louder than words, here are some of her pictures:
Amazonian Rainforest
In her first trip around the world, she headed to the Amazon rainforest to find authentic beauty, the kind that hasn’t been touched by the modern world, just like the nature around it.
Wakhan Corridor, Afghanistan
This woman invited Mihael Noroc to enter her home to show her her wedding dress.
She realized that although they live in an isolated area, the Wakhi people are very welcoming and friendly.

“Now I can say that beauty is everywhere, and it’s not a matter of cosmetics, money, race or social status, but more about being yourself.” – Michaela Noroc
