Five of the six major airports in London offer flights to Paris, and getting to them from the city centre is relatively straightforward via taxi, bus or the underground. It’s worth keeping in mind that train services and coaches like National Express also may provide direct routes to airports from other cities in the UK.
London City (LCY)
London City Airport is the closest airport to Central London. The DLR Underground service runs approximately every 8-15 minutes and can take you between the airport and Canning Town station from the Jubilee line.
London Gatwick (LGW)
Located just under 30 miles south of the city centre, Gatwick is the cheapest London airport to book flights to Paris as it offers flights from two low-cost airlines, easyJet and Vueling. There are regular train services between Central London and Gatwick, including the Gatwick Express, which runs every 30 minutes to London Victoria Station.
London Heathrow (LHR)
Heathrow is the UK’s busiest airport, located in the west of London with three underground terminal stations. There are plenty of frequent connections from the Central London area via the London Underground’s Piccadilly Line, running approximately every 10 minutes or so. Shuttle buses will also transport you between terminals around every six minutes.
London Luton (LTN)
Many cheap flights within Europe depart from Luton Airport, which is to the northwest of London. There are regular train and coach services to Luton from Central London throughout each day, including East Midlands Railway, Thameslink and National Express.
London Stansted (STN)
London Stansted is in the northeast of London, near the M11, and also provides a lot of cheap airline options for flights within Europe. The Stansted Express train service runs every 15 to 30 minutes and is one of the best ways to travel between the airport and Central London.
