This is one of London's major airports, and is easily reached from the city centre. The Gatwick Express train is generally the fastest way to transfer to and from the airport.
How to get to London:
- By train – travel to London Victoria Station in 30 minutes on the Gatwick Express.
- By coach – travel to Victoria Coach Station in around 90 minutes.
- By taxi – allow at least two hours to be sure when heading to central London.

North of central London, you'll also have a number of choices for transfers to and from Stansted.
How to get to London:
- By train – 50 minutes to Liverpool Street Station in the centre of London.
- By coach – either depart towards Victoria Coach station on the A20 coach, or to Liverpool Street on the A21 coach. It takes around 90 minutes and leaves every 30 minutes between 6am and 2am.
- By taxi – expect the journey to take at least 90 minutes.

As with the other airports, there are several options for transfers.
How to get to London:
- By train – the Thameslink service travels between Luton and St Pancras International in around 45 minutes.
- By coach – depart towards Paddington or London Victoria station and take National Express or Green Line buses in around 50 minutes.
- By taxi – it usually takes around an hour to central London, but often more at busy times.
